Art For HUEmanity is a an art installation and fundraiser for Project Color Corps and it's goal is to transform communities through paint and pattern. Project Color Corps believes in the power of color and sees it as a change agent, infusing a sense of well-being and energy into urban neighborhoods nationwide.
Participating artists were asked to choose a hue and then create 10" x 10" image with a dominate hue. The donated artwork was displayed at Fused Space gallery in San Francisco.
Betsy Everitt was excited to be a part of this important event and chose the color orange for her piece.
"My intent was to express a range of color within that hue. As I am currently pushing my style in a new direction, I wanted to play with line quality and markings, while still using my beloved gouache to give vibrancy and shape to tell my 'orange' story."
The result is richly textured, whimsical and ornamental.
And the beauty of this piece is wholly realized alongside all the other fabulous contributions in this color revolution.
