Jillian Ditner created these small figurative diagrammatic illustrations for one of our favorite magazines, Real Simple. They accompany an article called Walk This Way which featured beautiful photographic images. Each how-to item was introduced with one of Jillian's illustrations to demonstrate the point. Kind of an info-graphic approach that married well with the photography. Check out Jillian Ditner's updated portfolio here.
Love Ian's use of a universal symbol--the tin can, to represent ideas and commodities in this fresh (and yet retro) infographic presentation. We'll be bringing you lots more infographics, so stay tuned! To see more of Ian's work visit his updated portfolio here.
Tracy Walker created this map for Middlebury Magazine, working with design director Pamela Fogg. Looking for a non traditional approach to map making Pam wanted Tracy's flare for taking complicated imagery and making it harmonious and simply beautiful. In the map below, Tracy depicted all of Middlebury College's ski facilities in a double page spread for the Winter 2013 Issue. Tracy was in her element creating this piece; as she says, "It's not often enough that I have the opportunity to create maps, luv 'em...more maps please!"
