Illustrator Andrea "Dre" Cheung joins i2i Art Inc.

June 20, 2024

Please welcome i2i Art’s newest illustrator Andrea "Dre" Cheung! Currently based in Montréal and originally from Hong Kong, Andrea is a super talent, infusing her love of history and languages (she speaks 8!) into everything she does. Dedicated to crafting spaces of quiet recluse and appreciation she draws inspiration in the beauty that nature and coincidence create best. Inspired by her travels, she is keen on capturing the energy of places she visits, and is always accumulating sketches, recipes, and stories to share.

Professionally, Andrea pours her heart into her work with well researched sketches, technically excellent art, a fantastic communication style and a dedication to surpassing client expectations.

For personal projects, Andrea keeps a small sketchbook and pencil in tow everywhere she goes. Free-flowing and spontaneous she thrives on revealing the essence of places and carrying out plenty of observation practices. Most of her self-initiated work starts as a quick idea before developing into the final, and these on-the-spot ideas often find their way into her professional work. Constantly looking to expand her skillset she enjoys practicing visual journalism and is enthusiastic about learning new methods to tell and shape a story.

Below is a selection of just some of her eye-catching and expressive illustration. We invite you to savour the moment and enjoy Andrea’s art. We hope you delight in getting to know her work as much as we have!

“Danser sur Le Fleuve”

“View over France” self-initiated piece shortlisted for Communication Arts 2024

“Milky Way”

“Winter Stroll”

“Looking”

Tranquil, dreamy, (and often making you hungry), her work celebrates the vibrancy of life with cinematic compositions and luscious colour palettes.

The series above was commissioned for Condé Nast Traveller article, Global BBQ

“Hong Kong Street Food”, self-initiated piece dedicated to Andrea’s roots

Andrea’s select clients include: Condé Nast Traveler, Meta, Medium, Wolf Den and Compound Butter.

Join us in welcoming Andrea Cheung who we suspect will shine bright at i2i Art!
