Andrea Cheung illustrates for Our State magazine

Our State magazine is the official monthly publication of North Carolina and Andrea Cheung has had the pleasure of being the resident artist of their Book Club section for the last two years. Each month, the Book Club highlights a different local author along with their work. Collaborating with Art Director Jason Chenier, Andrea developed a series of illustration inspired by the stories of these featured authors. While there are so many stunning illustrations in this collection, we have curated a few in particular that stood out.

Illustrator Andrea "Dre" Cheung joins i2i Art Inc.

Please welcome i2i Art’s newest illustrator Andrea "Dre" Cheung! Currently based in Montréal and originally from Hong Kong, Andrea is a super talent, infusing her love of history and languages (she speaks 8!) into everything she does. Dedicated to crafting spaces of quiet recluse and appreciation she draws inspiration in the beauty that nature and coincidence creates best. Inspired by her travels, she is keen on capturing the energy of places she visits, and is always accumulating sketches, recipes, and stories to share.

Andrea "Dre" Cheung is an illustrator from Hong Kong, currently based in Montréal. She is dedicated to crafting spaces of quiet recluse and appreciation through her art, drawing inspiration in the beauty that only nature and coincidence create best. Tranquil, dreamy, and often making you hungry, her works celebrate the vibrancy of life with cinematic compositions and luscious colour palettes. She is keen on capturing the energy of places from her travels, and is always accumulating sketches, recipes, and stories to transcribe and share.
