Just a few reasons we are absolutely thrilled to welcome Drew Shannon to the incredibly talented group of illustrators here at i2i Art. A London, Ontario native currently based in Toronto, Drew is passionate about storytelling and draws inspiration from a variety of familiar situations and common encounters. Combining vibrant hues with a limited palette, Drew uses colour to lead the eye through their illustration, making connections and building a narrative for the viewer to follow. While playing with perspective and incorporating loads of lovely texture to balance out his artwork and add depth.

So it was natural that he was commissioned by Summit Magazine’s creative director Michal Waissmann to illustrate “Discoveries and Dilemmas”, a feature article on the untold secrets of direct-to-consumer DNA testing. Have you ever completed an at home DNA test? Or, maybe you’ve wanted to but not sure if you should? Well, there’s lots to know before you do and Carl’s conceptual illustration tackles some of these topics; family secrets, hackers and criminal investigations.

Our group of amazingly talented artists at i2i Art Inc. has grown once more! We’re thrilled to announce that illustrator Anthony Martin has joined our roster. Anthony’s thoughtful cut-paper style is captivating and continues to catch the attention of clients. Based in France, Anthony illustrates the most wonderful and inviting worlds for viewers to explore. Full of energy and ability, Anthony's passion for illustration emanates from everything he creates; with work that spans from sublime to silly. Technically spot on, he is meticulous in his method, creating characters that evoke emotion and tell a story. Anthony's attention to detail is evident in the environments he creates, and whether realistic or purely conceptual, they pull us further into each scene.
Kelsey Davis illustrates for Queen's Alumni Review
Facing a rare genetic disease diagnosis can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to infants and children. Queen’s Alumni Review article “Twist of Fate”, illustrated by Kelsey Davis explores the hardships parents face in these cases and the journey to find support. Kelsey’s contemporary style and soft colour palette beautifully reveal the joy in parenthood despite the extreme challenges these situations bring. Heartwarming icons depict the obstacles as well as the hope encountered while seeking treatment.
Ane Arzelus creates conceptual illustration
Inspired by ideas, Ane is thrilled at the chance to tackle tough topics. Producing a range of artwork on a variety of subjects, from the climate crisis to mental health, they have a knack for delivering complex concepts with clear and concise visuals. Ane’s illustrations tell a story, with bold colour palettes and graphic shapes guiding the viewer. Whether its a detailed map or a simple visual, Ane definitely doesn’t shy away from making a statement. In fact, they embrace it!
Migy illustrates for NC State
It’s all about firsts for this exciting feature in NC State’s alumni magazine. Art director, Victoria Cumbee commissioned Migy to illustrate a series of delightful people, places and moments that came first for NC State.
